A bushy small shrub with narrow, silvery-grey leaves and small aromatic purple flowers appear in terminal spikes in summer.
The flower heads are 3-4cm in length and are sweetly fragranced. The leaves and flowers from this variety are edible.
Lavender is best used to flavour milk/sugar recipes such as ice-cream or custards.
The flower spikes can also be added to green or black tea or used to decorate cakes.

Grow in full sun, in a well-drained soil for best result and a strong fragrance.
