An evergreen shrub with attractive foliage. The leaves emerge red, fade to pink and cream and finally mature to glossy dark-green. It bears clusters of small, cream flowers in spring. This shrub requires an acidic soil. Mulch in spring and feed annually after flowering with a fertilizer suitable for ericaceous plants. Remove dead flower clusters so berries do not form. This will encourage better flowering the following year.
Position in a fertile, acidic, moist, well-drained soil and in full sun or partial shade.
Height/Spread: 2.5m to 4m x 1.5m to 2.5m after 10-20 years
