A slow-growing, evergreen, medium-sized shrub with a bushy, spreading habit. It has broadly elliptic, leathery leaves that are a shrimp-pink when young and mature to beige-pink with soft yellow tints. It produces clusters of greenish-yellow flowers in late spring to early summer, followed by red berries maturing to black.
Best leaf colours are produced in a sunny but sheltered spot
Position in full sun or partial shade and in fertile, moist but well drained soil.
Height/Spread: 1.5mx1.5m after 10-20 years.
